In the odd spell of sunshine there's still plenty of red admirals around the garden and not a butterfly but another hummingbird hawk moth on the buddleia earlier in the week must be the 6th one I've seen this year in the garden ian

Two red admirals on the Fatsia japonica, along with lots of small files and bees.
Just checked a few websites about F.japonica and all said what an attractive and easy to grow(in many areas), but none mentioned what I think is one of its most attractive qualities is how much the flowers are used by insects in the autumn and early winter.
