Absolutely nothing! I thought I'd give winter trapping a go but maybe it was too windy.

I'm a bit gutted I haven't made more of an effort to keep the trap running these last few weeks, there's been a number of migrants around recently! If this continues into the new year I may start trapping early.

Yet from Twitter you'd think there were loads of moths around! I'll try again in January if there's another mild spell.

Not sure where you live Hank, but I'm amazed you actually set a moth trap at this time of year without catching a single Common Quaker, Hebrew Character or Small Quaker, that's about all I caught last night!
Cheers,
Julian

Cheers, Julian I trapped the following night in a different part of the garden and did manage a couple of Quakers and Small Quakers . But it was much colder that night. I haven't has a HC though (I'm in the West Midlands).

Rather cold this morning. 1 - Oak Beauty 3 - Common Quakers 1 - Hook tip This is the Hook tip. It looks like a Barred Hook Tip, but it seems a bit early for one of these. Have I got the ID right ?
