Well done. I had to look as I could not believe anyone had a successful trap last night! So wet and windy, but a good time to spend sorting out records. I am looking forward to a couple of calm days so I can try again here.

Another very poor night last night. Setup the trap away from home at a nearby school on a farm. It felt more like winter checking it this morning!
Heart and Dart x5 Small Square-spot x5 Common Wainscot Turnip Moth (NFY) Common Swift Setaceous Hebrew Character (NFY)
14 moths of 6 species.
EDIT - I just checked on this date last year in the same location I had 171 moths or 46 species!! Just shows how different a spring we're having!
Thanks,
Nige

I finally had a reasonable number of moths in my trap last night - 167 moths of 35 species. But even so, those numbers are considerably down on the equivalent weekend in the last three years.
Shoulder-striped Wainscot x3 White Ermine x3 Heart And Dart x7 Orange Footman x5 Silver-ground Carpet x3 Marbled Minor agg. 12 Setaceous Hebrew Character Middle-barred Minor x8 Scorched Wing x4 Light Brocade Small Square-spot x3 Large Nutmeg x56 Straw Dot x9 Flame Shoulder x5 Brimstone x2 Treble Lines x16 The Flame x2 Burnished Brass Brown Rustic Grey Pine Carpet Scalloped Hazel Agapeta hamana Peppered Moth Udea olivalis x2 Rustic Shoulder-knot Bee Moth Scoparia ambigualis x2 Common Swift x3 Shears x2 Poplar Grey Flame Carpet Crambus lathoniellus Shuttle-shaped Dart Notocelia cynosbatella Brown Silver-line
The Brown Silver-line was my first one ever. The Notocelia cynosbatella was only the second I've seen (the other one was when I last put the trap out about 3 weeks ago), and the Grey Pine Carpet was only the third one I've seen and only the second for our garden.

Good job Pete, that's a decent number of Large Nutmeg! I've only seen a handful of them before, whereas I've seen plenty off N cynosbatella Funny seeing the little pockets of certain species in places Nige
