Just 79 moths for me on Friday night, of which 56 were Lunar Underwings! Only 11 species, which was a bit disappointing, I was hoping to see a few more of the Sallows (I had just one Barred Sallow).

Last Saturday (10th October) I had 63 moths of 20 species: Angle Shades x5 Red-green Carpet x2 Autumnal Rustic NFY Lunar Underwing x4 Yellow-line Quaker NFY x8 Brown-spot Pinion x3 Setaceous Hebrew Character x6 Black Rustic x10 Lesser Yellow Underwing Beaded Chestnut Green-brindled Crescent x3 Barred Sallow x3 Large Yellow Underwing x5 Pink-barred Sallow NFY Large Ranunculus NFY Merveille du Jour NFY x3 Rosy Rustic Sallow NFY Common Marbled Carpet x3 Large Wainscot NEW
The Large Wainscot was a 'lifer' for me, and as I've indicated there were several that were firsts for this year. Of those, it was only the fourth Autumnal Rustic I'd trapped, and it was quite something to get three Marveille du Jours when I'd only ever seen five of them before (and only four of those were here in Kensworth).
