Complete cloud cover this morning, but mild... about 14c down in London. The sun was able to get through a few times around late afternoon.

Don't ask! Week before holiday - storms, gales and rain. Week of holiday, bit of sunshine with storms, gales and rain - mist so low could not see very far. Back home overcast and raining. Feeling a bit wet and cold.Anyway it was a good relaxed and restful holiday.

Incredibly, according to the BBC weather map this morning we were ALL supposed to have lovely weather!
Even Scotland, Ireland, and Wales... on the same day. This is surely a momentous event... it won't last of course, but should be commemorated.
Here in North London there wasn't a cloud in the sky all day... temps back up to around 23c, and the buzzards were certainly out enjoying their Indian summer while it lasted.

7C now sunny but cold. touch of frost early morning, beautiful sun rise, clear sky with just one big cloud above Ben More, which was edge with pink. Talk about quick change, could only have been about 20 minutes, when the mist coming off the land blanked everything out.

A good frost on the cars and roofs here this morning and quite chilly walking the dog, but I've just pegged out the towels and the the sky is a wonderful deep blue not a cloud to be seen just blue sky half a moon and and jet liners passing overhead. ian

Very mild and sunny until around 2pm.
In the last couple of weeks we have some heavy rain, though nothing exceptional and a couple of gales (one of which the Met Office missed), but again not out of the ordinary.
The most noticeable aspect of the weather has been its mildness.
I was sitting in the sun this morning in a T shirt.
I'd like to say long may it continue but I wonder if the unusual weather (and I do understand the difference between weather and climate) is indicative of a longer term change.

Been almost the same as you Dave, only not mild, the wind coming down off the hills is very chilly and we did have a smattering of snow on Ben More. Today it is sunny - yepee! Still a bit chilly in the wind.
