The crows were making more noise than usual around 5 this morning so I took a peek out of the bedroom window and saw a nice big fox just walking up the path into the woods ian

Me and Mrs T were very lucky to have seen three otters(looked like two young and a adult) in Loch Ewe today.
We have seen otters a few times over many years but the sighting today was excellent.

That's a nice sighting... I've never seen an otter in the wild. The closest I've been was getting to see some in the London Wetlands Sanctuary!

It was. Over many years of visiting NW Scotland we have seen a few otters, but less than double figures. However, any sighting is always a delight and this one was the best.
My only regret was I do not have a camera and lens combination that would get a decent shot, but that is life.

Along the far bank of the fleet a quick glimpse of the back half of a fox as it crossed a gap in the bushes and the mice at home seem to be spending more time out in the daylight much to the dogs amusement, I feel it could end badly for the mouse Saw some nice clear deer prints as I walked through the woods this morning. ian

Didn't see the culprit but there's a tell tail sign on the small patch of grass in our front garden, deer droppings that weren't there yesterday ian

Not seen directly but the trail camera caught one of the local foxes in the garden last night again. For a reason I can't fathom this one(but not the other fox that is a regular visitor) is very interested in a large tub(about 60cm in diameter) we using for growing runner beans. Every time it comes in the garden it puts its front feet on it and sniffs around.

Lovely close views of a female Roe Deer at Chobham Common this afternoon. She watched me as she fed about 15 metres away. As I moved forward she just trotted across the path & continued feeding a bit further in some cover watching me as I passed.

I sat in the garden yesterday just after 9pm and counted 74 bats. Not 74 different ones as my view was limited but there did seem to be a lot of them.
