After the rain cleared had a couple of hours at Minet CP before it got dark.
When I stood on the footbridge to look for Little Egrets there was a Fox stretched out half away cross the channel with a Little Egret a few metres closer to me & Moorhens either side of it. After watching to see what it did next, it paused for a minute or so before disappearing up the bank.
A little later a male Muntjac scrambled up at the wood edge as it spotted me.
Otherwise several Grey Squirrels & a couple of Rabbits.

When I was on the golf course construction area I was looking through the Crows to see if there were any Rooks (haven't seen one here for a little while) when I realised there was a Fox sitting, or lying, on the turf. It had spotted me but just watched as the Crows were feeding immediately behind it. The Fox showed no interest in them & they ignored it.

At Kew Gardens a small but well-furred Fox appeared close to the main lake. The Crows made a racket at first as they spotted it, while the wildfowl started to shadow it nearby to let it know they were more than aware of its presence. It disappeared but came back again a few minutes later doing the same thing, looking for some treat in the shrubbery.
Certainly wasn't bothered by me. Though I'm sure they're pretty active at night at Kew (as are the Badgers whose handiwork is obvious by day even though they're below ground), I rarely encounter one here.

Big surprise at lunch tome today. I was sitting on a bench having my sandwiches at Kew Gardens with a Crow hoping for treats when all of a sudden a small bat came towards me & the over some large bushes. It was one of the pipistrelles but hadn't expected to see one today. Guess it was warm & overcast.

As I left the house by 5 am, this morning it was good to see the end of the nightshift, with a Fox trotting down my road & then another crossing into the park, while waiting for a bus.
