Met my brother for lunch near Chesterfield and there is a lake at the side of the pub - adult Great Crested Grebe feeding one of the young on a cold damp and windy day.

Family day at Bookham Pond today. On one pond a pair of Dabchicks with 6 tiny chicks, a female Tufted Duckwith 8 young probably a couple of weeks old + in the woods a family of Treecreepers.

The blackbird that has just perfected its fly past my kitchen window picking a blueberry from the bush in a tub just below the window.
Tubs have been there for some years and not visited by birds before.
