Yesterday a juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker hanging on one of the feeders for about 30 minutes! So looks like our pair have been successful again.

Same here... I was lucky to get the juvenile and dad GSW in the same photo- the female was there as well, but unfortunately on another tree and I couldn't get all three of them together! It's the first time I've seen both parents and the youngster all at the same time.

Nice shot rowanberry!
BotD for me - a poor young Blackbird that flew into the window where I was working this morning. Survived but looked quite stunned!

A few nice sightings at the London Wetland Centre today. A Sparrowhawk with prey (put up all the gulls/Lapwing), a Hobby, Kingfisher flying onto a dead branch before flying off, Common Sandpiper +good to see many young duck. Latter included a very young Shoveler brood of 5 chicks, 2 nearly full grown Gadwall broods + many Tufted Duck broods.

As I was driving past Coombe Hill (near Wendover, Bucks) this afternoon, I spotted something moving a little way ahead of me on the other side of the road. As I drove past, I saw it was a Sparrowhawk 'mantling' a Wood Pigeon it had caught!

Interesting one on the hillside just above us this morning a Quail. They have been reported recently in Derbyshire but there is a strong possibility it could be an escapee. Quail by Shirley Freeman, on Flickr

Definitely an escape Shirl as this isn't the Common Quail that turns up here in the UK.This bird is a Northern Bobwhite Quail from North America. Remember seeing them in California.
My BOTD was a charm of c50 Goldfinches feeding on seed heads in the country park at the bottom of the road.

Kingfisher for me again this morning, hadn't got the camera with me due to the wet and windy forecast. It dived into the water, came up with a fish and then perched on a rock bashing the fish ready to eat. Would have made a great photo.
