Well big thunder lightening storm, lost broadband! week later Storm Hector blew in. flattening plants in bloom, havoc on roads rail etc and blue tits decided to fledge. Today warm but drizzle all day - certainly bought the midges out! Lower ground flooded again!

Mostly sunny and warm but a good gale blowing. Gustier and longer lasting than Storm Hector of a few days ago.

Excellent start to the day, warm, slight breeze, sunny with big fair weather clouds. This continued until about a hour ago when it clouded over and there was a brief shower, but it is still warm.

Gairloch A day to savour. Bright sunshine before 7am. A bit cloudy by 9ish but then just sun all the way. The breeze kept it from feeling too hot. Now at 9:45pm it is still sunny and calm and looks like this - Dave

Sunshine from sunrise. The forecast cloud appeared around midday but then fizzled out altogther. Now (4pm) there is very thin high cloud and the breeze keeps the temperature just right for me, and there is over six hours of daylight left - superb.

Very hot. This is only the second time in about 15-16 years I have known it as dry as this. I went for a walk this afternoon and came back with cleaner boots than when I started. Even Mrs Tringa who likes the sun is sitting in the shade.
