I've seen very few Silver-Ys this year. One in a moth trap last month + saw a couple on heathland in early August.

Couple of White Ermine outside my digs near Huntingdon yesterday morning. Also had a Silver Y in the back garden on Sunday, back at my mother's house in Beds.

A few nice moths yesterday- a superb male Clouded Buff, the smaller but exquisitely marked Beautiful Yellow Underwing, a Clouded Border sitting on a bramble leaf + 3 Brown China Mark moths by one of the ponds.

Locally today highlights were a Cinnabar + several Narrow-bordered 5-spot Burnets.

This one was perched on the seat of one of the garden chairs... I very nearly sat on it by accident. Wingspan no more than an inch across.
