Yes, it was only intended to be a temporary stop-gap- but when WAB was down for so long, some of us just became accustomed to this forum and it's managed to keep ticking over for nearly two years now! I'm glad you were able to find us, Foxy... and welcome to Wabi !

Hi Foxy. This site for some of us ex-wabbers is just great and we now only use here and chat on WAB Castaways on Facebook. It is a closed group but open to ex-wabbers and their friends. Like this site it was temporarily formed so we could discuss what was going on with wab, but has become a great place to chat with albums of photos for IDs and files full of links to specific interest wildlife. I will repeat here - Well Done Rowanberry and Snowlynx you are creating and managing a wonderful site.

Of course you do - you may be asked what your wab name was. That was one of the ways that was used to stop cranks joining. If you don't have success PM me here with your name and I can invite you.

Hi Folks, Just found this following an email from WAB. There was an advertising banner at the top of the page with seven photos. Six of them were mine! Had to sign up Martin

Hi there My name is Joomoo and I’m a moderator / admin on Garden Wildlife UK forum. A year ago we were in the same boat as you. A group of us had hung out on a forum that got shut down, so we found another and took over that and made it our home. Then one day a year ago, that shut down without notice. Luckily after the previous time a few of us swapped messages and emails and had an “emergency area” on facebook, so gathered together most of our main members Two of us tried to set up on free forums to keep us going, but we weren’t really happy with that, so a few of us decided we needed something more permanent, so got ourselves a domain name and host (I may be an admin but I’ve got a techy whizz to sort all that stuff out haha) and set up our own site that we know won’t fall down. And we’re shortly about to celebrate our first birthday. We might only be small, but we love our garden birds and animals and the British countryside. So while you are in this interim period, we’d like to extend the hand of friendship to you all and see if you’d like to join us and compare fledglings, ponds, hedgehogs, silly jokes and more. gardenwildlifeuk.co.uk/Hi Joomoo, I'd like to join your gardenwildlifeuk site but it won't accept my (perfectly genuine and respectable!) email address, and I can't find anywhere to contact anyone for help. Can you help?

Sound nice and all that but, we have a gardening for wild life here, we also cover all British wild life, marine life, pond life, insects and yes we have a silly jokes forum. as well a a trail camera forum, photography forum, where did you walk forum and what are you listening to now forum I have probably missed some off. This site was set up four years ago after the WAB site crashed out, a lot of the member were desperately trying to find each other and Rowanberry and Snowlynx got this site going, initially it was just for us ex-wabbers, but it has developed into a wonderful site and our friends are allowed to join. Anyway good luck with your site
