Thank you for pointing me in probably the right direction. I have been puzzling over the alternatives and my favourite contender is Grapholita lathyrana, mainly because most of the other contenders are found in the north and later in the year. This one is Ok for Sussex - I saw this last weekend at Pagham harbour near Chichester - I may follow up to see if there are any records in the area, mainly because it is supposed to be rare and localised. Does anyone else have an opinion on this?
