The baby frogs are leaving the pond, and they are absolutely everywhere in the garden- around the pond, on the path and in the grass. I am trying to be so careful not to tread on them, but it is difficult. They are so tiny, I keep wanting to herd them back into the pond... but they are not very cooperative.

I have a similar problem. This is the time of year froglets will leave the pond so trying to herd them back into it will be fruitless because as soon as you turn your back they will crawl out again.
I'm afraid you will need to be as careful as you can when out in the garden. In time the froglets will find safe and comfortable places to hide. Once they have found somewhere safe they will only come out at night to feed avoiding the sunny dry days.

Noticed a couple in my garden yesterday after some much needed rain.
