Greetings fellow plebs, I wasn’t sure quite where to post this chit chat or books / films.
Anyhow had a wonderful dream last night dressed in top hat and tails no less. What’s more I was playing that old 1924 song (It had to be you) after which I went into the solo based on that other old 1929 broadway melody (you were meant for me). When all of a sudden hell’s bells! someone was trying their very best to cut my left leg off; seeing me doing the hokey cokey round the bed for the next hour. Apparently, calf cramp is an age thing in my case, which doesn’t help the excruciating pain one little bit.
Note
Both melodies can be played as a slow romantic foxtrot; much the way I prefer.
Nevertheless, I digress, life is full of interesting notions don’t you think, which brings me to that very charming short animated film / book by Charlie Mackesy entitled (the Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse) following the friendship between the four protagonists shown on BBC1 recently. I think I’m right in saying first aired in 2019.
Either way, I’ll say no more other than this highly amusing, informative story will expand any child’s knowledge into a world of wonder. Dare I say the moral of the story is a lesson that quite a few adults could also learn’.
Note
You can watch this short film on BBC 1 iPlayer, I fact I’ve already done so. Failing that any good book shop or library should have a book copy. Failing that there’s always Amazon; for reading is a joy to behold for ever.
