Another plant I'm confused on. Still gradually trying ti improve my plant knowledge - so this is probably a very basic one). Using my wild flowers book I got to it being a violet but then what type of violet I can't get to. Maybe a Sweet Violet? In roadside verge in East Anglia. Many thanks Ian (Sorry these are so basic)

It's a white form (quite common in this species) of Sweet Violet, Viola odorata.

It's a white form (quite common in this species) of Sweet Violet, Viola odorata. Many thanks. That was what I'd thought but it was the top of the violets in my book and I'm suspicious about choosing the 1st on the list and there were a couple of other white ones e.g. Heath Dog Violet (petals maybe slightly narrower in Heath Dog Violet?)
