We came upon these growing in the tall grasses bordering the playing fields near us- At first I thought someone had tossed aside a sandwich and caused a mini plum tomato to self-seed... but then I had a closer look at them and thought again. Solanum dulcamara- also poisonous, but not quite as bad as its cousin deadly nightshade. The berries are very small, (less than 1cm in length) and pretty. Yes, Woody Nightshade, also known as Bittersweet. The berries are most toxic when green. This is a far more common plant than Deadly Nightshade. I've actually seen a rather unattractive variegated form for sale in a garden centre once.
