Good afternoon everyone, hasn't it been great weather? The taddies in our small pond seem to be reluctant to grow legs and lose their tails. Are the conditions in the pond are so good, they don't want to?
Cheers, Tony.

I think it takes them about 3 months, Tony... my tadpoles only started hatching in April, so it will probably be about June before they start growing legs here. Mine are always a bit late though, since our pond is mostly in shade until mid-April or thereabouts.

I have seen a small newtlet, a dragon fly larva and still squillions of daphnia . So I must be doing something right!
