Hi all, Doing the moths again and in the bottom of the trap was this spider, so I put it in a pot 35mm dia x 62mm deep, then done my homework on it, Photo from the dorsal side showing the cardiac mark with the pale chevrons, and another from the ventral side, I held the pot above my head a little bit, outside, to get the sternum shot, you can just see the Epigastric fold and epigyne and the two book lungs, The genus is Agelenidae and the species is Tegenaria agrestis, it's about 11-12mm in length and quite a dull colour realy, this is one of the genus of spider that will come into the house or shed/garage, as you can see it's a female (look at the palps, they are tapered ), I have included a photo of Sternum Patterns of Tegenaria species so you can try to id the spider in your shed, this is how I identified the species, now you need to make that Spy Pot, lol Duncan Tegenaria agrestis 1 f by Duncan Mclean, on Flickr Tegenaria agrestis 2 f by Duncan Mclean, on Flickr Tegenaria sternum pics 001 by Duncan Mclean, on Flickr
