Good to hear that Ian. Here in east London I have been sitting out as it is getting dark for a few nights (glass of Sauvignon Blanc or Shepherd Neame 1698, in hand ) and the numbers of, I assume, pipistrelles have been quite low compared to other years.
A couple of nights ago I counted only five bats in about an hour.

We see very few bats where we now live but had pipistrelles roosting in our roof at our previous home. Don't know if this is going to work - a short movie clip of the bats at dawn with the dawn chorus audible in the background. Dawn chorus & bats May 2014 by Alf Parker, on Flickr Alf
