A walk up through the woods this morning and there are a few bluebell spikes up and about to open, if next week is as sunny as forecast more will follow. Also lesser celandine in flower around the lake. We only have 2 patches of these in the woods that I know of and one of those has failed to flower since they put the footpath down 2 years ago. Out and about during the week noticed lots of blackthorn in flower and daffodils along the road sides out in the thousands, where do they all come from? ian

The bluebells in our garden have produced lots of leaves, but no sign of any flowers yet.
The lesser Celendine is growing like mad- it's taken over a lot of the area around the pond... I do like it, but am going to have to trim some of it back, else I'm worried it will squeeze everything else out. It's even coming up in the flower pots, and I don't know how it got there!
