This is growing out of a gutter coming off the house- it looks like some kind of succulent, and I'm thinking of transplanting it into a pot... any ideas on what it might be? I was worried it might not survive the recent cold weather, but it seems to be flourishing up there! Unidentified Plant Mar2018 by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr

It is a stonecrop but not Biting Stonecrop. It looks more like White Stonecrop, Sedum album, but there are quite a few ornamental species in cultivation, some of which may look superficially similar.

Thanks- I've been googling for Sedums it might be similar to, and this one is the closest I've found so far... commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Sedum_rubrotinctum_2.jpgAlthough this variety seems to often have a red or pinkish tinge to it, while the one growing out of our gutter is completely green. One site I found said "Do not keep Sedum rubrotinctum outside in freezing temperatures." It's been out there throughout all the snow and sub-zero temps we've had, and it's in a very exposed location- it doesn't seem to have harmed it any. I'll get it down and put it in a well-draining pot before the starlings start digging around up there for bedding moss for their nests. I do wonder how it ended up growing in such a strange location.

Update on the Stonecrop... it seems to like its new location, and I've had to divide some of it already.
