Little old light sleeper me heard the proverbial bump in the night so got up to peek out the window, think someone walked into a dustbin that was left in the street, lights out and all that. When a bright light caught my eye drifting across the sky, no flashing lights no sound thought maybe Chinese lantern but the light was too bright and white. Must have been the space station not the first time I've seen it and other satellites but always amazing just how bright it is. Also the sky was so electrically charged with high up flashes of lightning, no thunder and very little rain by morning. I think that may change. ian

Have a look at the Heavens Above website, Ian for predictions of the ISS (and other stuff too). If you register (which is free) you can set it to your lat. and long.
