We haven't seen any at all in the woods near us... I don't think we've had enough rain recently. With a bit of luck some will start appearing soon!
I'm terrible at fungi ids- hopefully someone with more experience will be able to help you confirm this one.

A few years ago I thought get the camera out and get snapping again. I know mushrooms and the like, easy peesey. Take a photo bung it on the computer find the ID pop it in a folder and bobs your uncle. Not a chance in the world. I've browsed hundred of web pages read books looked at thousands of pictures and half the time I've still not got a clue. Some you can't even tell without DNA tests so I've read others are just plain difficult brittlegills being one of them. I'm now convinced that it's a dark art and one I will never master such is life. Will I give in? not a chance I love it
