We often have fish for breakfast on Christmas Day, though it is usually smoked. That must have been a bit of a treat for two top class scavengers. Dave

Our Christmas breakfast is scrambled egg mixed with chopped smoke salmon on hot buttery toast. Yummy!!!
The garden birds get high energy seed mix and handfuls of dried mealworms. Guess what they eat first?

Guess what they eat first? Harold. Yummy - my favourite! I had porridge. Before togging up to go out retrieve (blown off their hooks) the feeders and fill them up, extra monkey nuts for the jays and red squirrel and loads of meal worms scattered about for the ground feeding birds. In the evening I put out scraps of turkey and gammon, sultanas and peanuts for my pine martens. Oh what absolute joy watching the night's trail camera videos, a badger is back as was a fox, they were circling round the plant where I put the food, the badger ignoring the fox and the fox being ultra cautious but not giving up on getting food and three of the pine martens were seen in between times. For me it was the best Christmas present. I ut a couple of clips from the camera on mammal of the day.

That sounds a good one, Harold. Ours is sometimes kedgeree or just smoked haddock and poached egg with sparkling wine.

Scrambled egg with Smoked Salmon shouldn't be restricted to Xmas Day, nor Kedgeree for that matter, they're both regulars in our house.
I had a "B" sandwich: Bread,(toasted), Butter, Bacon, Blue Cheese and Black pepper.

Sometimes we leave out the Smoked salmon and replace it with crumbled in Black pudding. The birds still get seed and mealworms. Harold. Ps: Love Kedgeree! We usually have it at least once a month as a main meal.
