Didn't know if I should put this in the spider section but since it's not a spider... Seeing this harvestman on the outside of our window the pincer-like pedipalps (if that is what they are) were particularly noticeable. Looking back, very few of my images of opiliones actually show these appendages and, after reading up online, I'm very confused about the purpose of them - are they sexual, for feeding / grasping or something else. I'm just curious and, since Lars Friman never made the transition from WAB to WABI, I wondered if there is anyone here who can advise. Incidentally, I don't think the underside view shows it has has green legs! - just a trick of the back-lighting. Alf
