The hard-working parents have been successful this year... I'm so pleased for them! Especially with the poor male struggling to feed the chicks despite his dislocated leg...he's gone above and beyond the call of duty. They are still feeding the fledglings, (often chasing them around the garden with a beakful of mealworms... like a mother trying to get her willful teenager to eat- "MUM I'm NOT hungry!!") it is funny to watch. That is great news Rowanberry. The blackbirds here have done well also. I had not thought to look at feather colouring to tell female/male - thanks for the reminder:)
