We seem to have a lot of frogs appearing in the pond- more than usual for this time of year. I found two dead in the garden this morning, (I presume killed by a fox) and that usually only happens in the spring when they are spawning. Surely they can't be arriving for hibernation already! Noooooo.... I'm not ready for summer to be over yet. I'm still waiting for it to start.

Interesting observation. In our pond (which is not in a good condition just now) there are a few frogs, but no more than any other year.

I counted eighteen frogs in the pond this morning! I liked these three, that had squeezed themselves between a pond basket and the liner. They stayed like this for hours. Three Frogs by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr
