Having my morning cuppa, I noticed this wee fella, perched on a pruned shrub just outside my living room window and silhouetted against the early morning sky. and then he started to sing Some days just start right.

Yes nice photos Alf I do enjoy looking at silhouettes and black & white photos too they seem to have a certain charm about them, I also like listening to the dawn chorus such a pleasure and it is also free what more can one ask. A nice article. The blackbirds are usually the first (and last if we exclude owls) bird I hear most days but that's probably because of their proximity and a volume which penetrates our double glazing!
