Attachment DeletedThese were in my garden this morning, seemed very fresh but I couldn't detect any smell. The first one looks a bit mauled because I poked it with a stick to see if I could identify the contents. It was very soft and all I could find were tiny bits of vegetation - no bones, fur, scales, feathers etc that I could see. The second appears to be from the same animal although it is clumped rather than strung out. Any ideas please? (I am in central Scotland, adjoining beech/pine woodland.)

Physically possible, but doesn't a badger have a latrine in a certain place? These were just at random on the grass. Oddly enough, the adjacent wood is on a little hill called Badger's Mount, but I never seen any signs of badgers there myself.

No help really, but the badger I pick up on my trail camera has occasionally left poo, near where I leave the food, so maybe they leave the odd "keep of my Patch" marking, however it usually has a bit of fur shsowing. Maybe a fox? Definitely not pine marten, the ones here have chosen the lean to log store as their chosen poo spot, have to keep clearing it out.
