Our noisy neighbours, the Rooks, are particularly entertaining at this time of year when they are busy nest building. Clearly some are brighter, or maybe learn quicker than others when it comes to nest building. This guy is clearly overambitious when it comes to the size of twig he can get up to the nest site - After a dodgy take off he found it impossible to flap both wings effectively. This guy has a better strategy - flying with the stick aligned to his body - There may be some visability problems with this one -

Ah yes ole baggy pants one of my favourite birds, no other bird has that air of importance as it performs the baggy pants strut, as opposed to the stray cat strut which is something completely different of course (song.) Incidentally just love your photos of a very ambitious character Afl, without a doubt soon to become a nesting material thief from its nearest neighbour!
