Does anyone recognise this plant? I am working on my i.d skills but this is stumping me. It reminded me of Japanese Knotweed at first with the zigzag stems but the leaves don't look right and there is no purple on the stems. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

You really do need Poland. And if you don't feel quite ready for that, might I suggest you look at www.wildflowerstudy.co.uk where there are a couple of books that might help . . .

I think it is a garden escape and I see Poland covers the aliens which will be good!

Maybe a Gaultheria? Always give as much info as possible such as habitat & part of the country your photos are from.

A rather late Reply. But yes, Aeshna is correct, it's Shallon - Gaultheria shallon. Usually planted as cover for game. Dorts.
