This is my wee nutty. I had to give up putting a bowl of nuts on the veranda for him and the jays ended up getting all the nuts first. In the back ground you can just see one of my bird feeding areas.

Something I still would like to see- a red squirrel in the wild. And a badger.

Just drop in if you're passing, Rowanberry; I'd like to see you fulfil your ambition! No badgers though, I'm afraid – I've only seen dead ones on the road, unfortunately. By the way, it's unusual for two squirrels to be happily busy on the same feeder – they are inclined to chase each other away at top speed. However, this was earlier in the year when they were very young and clearly all from one family. There were four originally but one failed to show up after a while, alas.

Something I still would like to see- a red squirrel in the wild. And a badger. I see badgers from time to time here ambling home after a good night foraging, but unfortunately we no longer have red squirrels in Derbyshire, would be good to have them back. So it's usually Cumbria, Northumberland or Scotland for me to see the reds. Shirl
