I'm going to Sittingbourne one day next week to look at a vehicle that I may purchase.
I will have to take it for a test drive somewhere and also if there's time I could possibly sneak in a bit of birding afterwards too.
I'm not going to have long, it's a 5 hour round trip, leaving early is just about impossible with the length of time it takes my wife to get ready (that's not a male/female joke, she has mobility problems) and I'd rather not get caught up too much in the homeward rush on the M25 & M3.
I know it's close to Elmley Marshes, is there anywhere there where it's easy to park up for a half hour or so (to eat lunch) with a reasonable expectation of seeing something worthwhile - a Rough-leg would be good! - or should I abandon the whole idea and just stick to parting with my cash?

Ayjay Kentyeti is the man you need to ask has he practically lives at Elmley Marshes, I am not sure if one can send a private post but failing that an inquiry on his Short eared owl thread would probably work better as he is more likely to see it there. Alan, in the music room

Alan, in the music room Thanks Alan, I'm not really into sending PMs (it can be done - click on the "post options" button at top right of a post - select *member* -then *send message*) I'll just leave it to fate. My time there is going to be so short it's not worth fretting about.
