This couple - carrion crow and hooded crow have lived here for about 4-5 years now and as far as I can make out have never bred. The carrion crow was abandoned and the jays took it upon themselves to look after it. The following spring crow appeared with hoody and they have been together ever since. They roost near the jays, probably as this is where the jay's taught crow to roost, and go with the jays to the hills during lambing, no doubt to pick up the placenta dropped by the sheep. Like the jays they come out at night to pinch the nuts I put out for the badger and pine martens. This is them caught on trail camera.
