When at the FSC centre at Preston Montford this last weekend I learned that although they have advertised a Photo Stacking course (run by Stuart Ball of Britain's Hoverflies fame)there was as yet not a single booking! This amazed me bearing in mind how popular photo stacking is today. I feel sure there must be lost of people wanting help with this aspect of photography so I thought they might benefit from a bit of advertising - I suspect relatively few people ever look at FSC courses for photography.
The course can be found by Googling 'Photo Stacking Preston Montford' - it runs from 18-20 March and should be a great course - Stuart is a very able teacher and a very experienced photo-stacker. He originally wrote his own programme but the photos used in Britain's Hoverflies were I seem to recall done using Zerene.

Thanks for letting us know about the workshops, Roger... I've posted about it in our 'Events' section as well, along with links to the courses.
Welcome to WaBI !

I don't whether this has been mentioned elsewhere but some of the Olympus OMD series cameras now have a built in focus stacking setting when used with some Olympus micro four thirds lenses.

I can confirm that certain Olympus cameras have in camera focus stacking. Having recently moved from Canon to Olympus I am amazed at the technology built into my omd e m1x and omd e m1 mkii. Looking to to put it all to good use as soon as I can.
