Did anyone else get the letter about this? I am really tempted, because since the regular Lotto has increased the number of balls the chance of winning anything has become astronomical, (one in 45 million!) At least with the RSPB lottery, the money is going to a cause I believe in and it's just £1 a week.
I haven't looked at the website for the details... I'm not sure if I pick my numbers, or their computer does it for me?? anyway, I'm going to look into it.

Good luck with the RSPB lottery Rowanberry. I stopped doing stuff like this a long time ago - I never win anything (although I did win a T shirt once from the local rag!) preferring instead just to make donations. With no children, my wife and I have left entire estate to charities in our wills and I would encourage everyone to make a will to avoid hassle for those left behind when the time comes. Now there's a cheery thought for the day! Alf

Which rather makes nonsense out of it all does it not! Alan making hay while the sun still shines

I have signed up recently for the RSPB Lottery, I have done a lottery with one of our local Hospices for many years - initially it was just a good way to make a regular donation but I have won something quite a few times which was quite surprising! Funny though, the largest win was over £3k and I have to say I felt quite guilty accepting it, but I put the money to good use creating more wildlife habitats.

No need to feel guilty, and I hope you got at least a few nice birdfeeders or books for yourself. I've signed up for the RSPB lottery now... if I happen to win there is a very nice squirrel-proof suet-block feeder the long-tailed tits have put on their Christmas wish list.
