This little primrose has seeded itself next to the millrace - the first thing I see when I open the curtains in the morning

Hello all,
Bluebells are starting to flower on the Cotswolds.
Ditto aeshna5, Coltsfoot just opening in the Cotswolds as well.

Welcome Ella, and all you lucky people down in the south! Not even coltsfoot up here in Perthshire yet, just barren strawberry and Erophila.

Our wild primroses at the bottom of our field are in flower now, no sign of the bluebells or cowslips in the garden just yet.

First crocus in bloom. Just one open under the feeders, heaven knows how it got there, but hey I have something in bloom

got the odd situation where some of the primroses have the flower appearing squashed right down low at the bottom of the leaves, which as yet are not fully grown.

WAB appears to be up again, but sporadically. I will post here the same as I did there, Yellow Star-of-Bethlehem, flowering in some profusion in South Glos. it's a real favourite of mine & quite elusive, often few or no flowers to be seen & the leaves are then easily mistaken for bluebells.
I see that Shirl above has logged cowslips on Feb 26th. That is surprisingly early. We have no sign of flowers here & they usually appear in my garden well before those in the wild.

I agree, I have only seen them at that one location, none of the other sites are showing anything yet and nothing in our garden yet either. Shirl
