I do like my gaming, currently playing The Escapists (steam game), Skyrim (again!) and Agar.io which is easily found by searching online.
Looking forward to the new Fallout game after seeing the trailer.

Yeah new Fallout looks good. I'm now playing a dinosaur type survival game called Ark Survival Evolved. It's not bad.

Just a few questions really, as I know a couple of people with depression that seem to rely on gaming and I'm trying to understand them.
I don't play online games, so what makes them so addictive and which games are the worst for this? What is a typical monthly outlay to play games online?

The simple answer deb is no one knows but there is lots of research going on. I don't believe anyone with serious, clinical depression would be able to summon up the motivation, concentration or interest to play games - certainly not anything of any complexity. We need to differentiate between true depression and "low moods" and I suspect many gamers suffer from the latter associated with addictive behaviours. Some think gaming causes low moods some think it alleviates low moods. I suspect those paying to feed their addiction are going to feel low eventually! There's tons of stuff on the internet (mostly from USA) about this subject but be a little sceptical! Here's an example - www.biomedcentral.com/1471-244X/12/92Alf
