I was waiting for aeshna to give us the definitive answer, as I don't know a lot about trees. But what I can tell you is that although conifers are not flowering plants (they are gymnosperms, as opposed to angiosperms) they all have what look like flowers, and many of the female ones are similar to the ones you have seen. They are usually pink, some are very small and insignificant, others are quite showy (larch, for example). The female ones are best described as 'immature cones' rather than true 'flowers': you can see that the shape is such that you can imagine it morphing into a cone.

Not enough detail for me to be honest. Has a "spruce" look to my eyes though.
