These two micros were in my trap this morning (at Kensworth, S Beds., in the Chilterns). Presumaby a Tortrix, but I can't ID it from the books Unknown micro

No good on those tortices, as they can be so variable, but the second is I believe Ypsolopha scabrella.

I thought the Tortrix would be easy to ID, but apparently not. The Herts Moth Group have suggested Acleris aspersana and Rhomboid Tortrix (Acleris rhombana) but I'm not convinced by either (I've not seen any photos on the internet that look at all similar to my photo). So I think it's going down as an 'unknown'.

The county recorder, Colin Plant, has now said it's 'a male Acleris rhombana'.
