Now I know Rove Beetles are notoriously tricky to ID, but this one seemed to be marked pretty uniquely, however I still couldn't find a good match for what it might be!! Any ideas please? Thanks! Nige rove1 by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr rove2 by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr

Hi guys,
Sorry for late reply, have been away.
Dan I knew I should've taken note of the time, I did measure it but didn't note it down and have forgotten now!
Habitat was just in my small urban garden.
Staphylinus caesareus had been suggested elsewhere as well.
Thanks,
Nige
