I tried to log on to WABI at about 04:00 this morning only to receive a cloudflare error message - has anyone else had this problem lately? I could come on the site as a guest but not log in. A quick search revealed that it was ProBoards issue rather than WABI and was it causing consternation amongst other ProBoards users. I do hope we don't experience the problems WAB had with this issue - or maybe I should just learn to be less nocturnal.
Unable to get on WABI I revisited Wild About The World for the first time in many weeks - there hasn't been a posting there by anyone for weeks and I fear it is another wildlife forum about to disappear. Maybe Facebook has taken over the role these sites once fulfilled. However, I remain steadfastly Facebook averse and, with no other substitute, I hope the problems I had this morning do not continue and put people off coming here. Alf

I can't remember if it was the Cloudflare error but earlier in the week I think it was I couldn't get on with Error 522. This is related to proboards I believe, rather than WABI. Haven't had any issues since and been OK so far this morning.

The message I received said "Error 1001: DNS resolution error" - clearly OK now but fingers crossed!

I have not had the Cloudflare problem, but every time I have tried to login this week it has taken me a long time to get to the login page. Sometimes I have given up and tried again later. I agree about Facebook Alf. There is nothing wrong with it but I very much prefer the structure that comes with a forum. I tried the WAB Castaways page that Deb set up but just couldn't get to grips with it - I kept losing the thread, so to speak Dave

I don't think Facebook can fulfill the role in the same way a forum does, it's just not built for that. I tried for a while but it just becomes a mess. Much prefer little groups of things, like UK Moths of World Fungi, that way I can pick and choose what areas I like. But even that gets messy. Hopefully people will come back to the forum Nige

Nice to be back on a forum again. Threads and images have away of disappearing way past page down...

I seem to have problems logging on, via Ipad, all too often. Its a shame if WABTW is destined to follow its sister site, too many people have put so much effort into these forums.....dear me.
