I am seeing so many wildflowers that I don't see around my area. There was a small patch of these in Glasdum North Atlantic Oakwood Forest (amazing place by the way). The flowers were small and stems quite tall, leaves narrow spear shaped and not very many of them. It is a bit of a blurred photo as it was raining and blowing a gale. It was growing on edge on track to car park for the Forest walk.

One of the annual sow-thistles. Would need to see the leaves/auricles to be sure whether Smooth or Prickly Sow-thistle.

I get the impression of oleraceus (smooth) but leaves would be great for confirmation.

I'm guilty of "lumping" auricles and all that in the leaf description, so shape is not the only thing I'd take note of when talking about leaves.

I get the impression of oleraceus (smooth) but leaves would be great for confirmation. I'm not much help. My recollection was there were only a few leaves visible up the stem and as it was among tall grasses I could not see to the bottom of the plants. Those that were visible were very narrow, smooth and shiny (but it was raining). There is one leaf showing on the right of photo.
