It's not a honey bee. Did you know, the honey bee has hairy eyes? Strange but true.

Someone suggested it was an Andrena sp. If that's the case I remember I never get them ID'd down to species level!

Hi Nige Just in case you didn't manage to get this identified else where you bee is a female Andrena scotica formerly known as A. carentonica up until recently. Kim
