Intriguing plant, unsure what it is though - in fact, I've no idea. But I think it's an interesting specimen for sure.

Last one for now - I recognise this plant but just cannot bring the name back - oh my memory! Just looks like Yarrow to me Nelly, but me and vascular plants seem to disagree most of the time Anyway I don't remember if I thanked you properly for the specimen you sent me.
It is labelled as ' finder Nelly Dee via web forum Wild About Britain '

Yes Vince you did thank me - very nice letter
I knew I should know it! Another plant growing where nutrients in the ground make a difference. This Yarrow was very tall probably about 2ft tall. I made the mistake some 20 years ago of planting Yarrow, got from garden centre, in the small garden we had the time, it grew to only about 10 inches tall but totally over-ran everything else and it took me ages to get rid of it - just kept popping up again.
Oh Memory where has it gone! Thanks Aeshna and Vince for the ID
PS Guess what? Put on my rain gear and did a wander round my wild areas and yes I have some yarrow growing - bit straggly and not very tall it is in amongst the meadow sweet.
