Lovely!
It's similar story here. A good year for hogs, with meetings/matings in my garden. Some of these hogs are rather large.

Ahhh- I'm jealous. We don't get them around our way. I hadn't seen any for years round my way, apart from the odd roadkill. Then one just appeared in my garden and I started feeding it. Before long there were at least 4 visiting.

I was getting up to a lot of hogs though the garden up till last year when they just stopped coming though and have not seen any around about for a while now even though there are still good numbers in the local park near by, I think I may know why this is though as we had a spate of poisoning of cats (someone was putting baited meat chicken down) around the time they vanished, the one responsible has been caught and is now been evicted so with luck they will recover and be back in the garden soon a few pics from when they where visting hogs3 by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr two young hogs having a munch by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr hogs7 002 by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr

Great to see several of us are finding hedgehogs again at new sites. I have found quite a few too this spring, and unfortunately seen quite a few dead on he roads. Never ideal circumstances but can be useful for surveying presence in new areas.

Blimey, just heard on Springwatch that Hedgehogs have declined 97% since 1950!!!! Right, i'm on a personal campaign to get hedgehogs in our garden! I've not seen one since I was a kid. I live somewhere else now and have never seen one. There's a huge long hedgerow to the side of where we live and there's overgrown land in front of our cottage - surely ideal habitat! We see rabbits and loads of different birds. There may be no hedgehogs around I suppose - wondered if anyone had any tips on how to attract them?

Great that some of you are getting Hedgehogs in the garden. I haven't noticed one in my garden for a couple of years, though it's possible I've missed them, but have no doubt declined locally.

Only one sighting of a hog in our garden since we moved here nearly 20 years ago. Don't even see road kill in this area (rural Cumbria) so suspect serious decline here.

I've still got the one coming for food. I give mostly crushed peanuts which they love.
