Unknown Insect I found this on the chalky downland at Bison Hill, Whipsnade, this morning.

A wonderful longhorn beetle called Agapanthia villosoviridescens. I know someone has invented an English name recently for it as Nige used it, but it isn't used in most books + I'm sure many beetle experts wouldn't know it either.

I've heard golden-bloomed grey longhorn but that is a cumbersome name...I'd rather use golden-dusted longhorn which I made up...
