Can we have some guidance on best action/reporting when we find spammers as we have today?

Thanks for the alert, Alf- we've deleted the posts and blocked the spammer's ip address now. What a nuisance they are! We're having a look at the ProBoards advice forum for security tips... it seems there is an option to 'quarantine' new members so that their account has to be approved before they can post. We might have to consider that, although I hate to have to do it. Spamming caused so many problems at the old Wab, and I don't want it to start here, so it might become a necessary encumbrance. Snowlynx is going to try and find out if we can install a ''Notify Spam' option, or something like that. Or even make it so that WaBi doesn't come up in Google searches in other countries, since most spam seems to come from abroad. Again, thanks for drawing our attention to it.

Hi Alf, please use the option to "Report Post" in the drop-down menu to the right of each spammed posting. That will send an email immediately to all staff members.

Thanks - hope we don't have to use that option too often!
