Not strictly wildlife but a local park has, for a few years, used three Longhorn cows to help rejuvenate some land.
They are free roam within a small area and are controlled by a wireless field.
The cows have been trained to respond to a stimulus from a device they wear.
If they stray too close to the boundary the device reacts(it is a sound, not a nasty prod) and their training makes them turn back.
Should they, for some reason, break through the boundary, they can re-enter easily.
I have lived close to an area which for many years had, until BSE, free roaming cattle every year from April to November, so I am always happy to see cattle around again.
This is one of them.
